I took a deep breath, “Do you have any sort of physical inability.?”
The ambient noise of the café seemed to mute instantly. I watched his face closely, searching for the slightest hint of discomfort or shame.
But instead of shame, his eyes flashed, first with surprise, then with something dark, private, and intensely masculine. He didn't avoid my gaze this time. He held it, a deep, slow fire igniting in his expression.
"Physical inability?" he repeated, the words rolling slowly off his tongue. He let out a soft, teasing laugh that held no humor, only confidence.
“Yes, you can open up to me. I’m completely fine with this,” I said with all my heart. I didn’t marry him just for intimacy; I married him because I love him.
“Who told you that I have a problem with my... ability?” he asked, his tone surprisingly calm and comfortable.
“Meena Aunty,” I replied. “She told me you had a physical inability and that was why your first wife left you. Plus, you’ve hidden everything. You kept me at a distance, literally for weeks. We’ve been married for a month, and you treat me like a roommate.”
He let out a teasing laugh. “Kural, if you’re looking for the reason my last marriage ended, I promise you, it wasn't due to any physical inability on my part. Quite the opposite, in fact. That was the one area where we had zero problems.”
He continued, his voice dropping to a seductive murmur that sent a shiver down my spine. “It has been entirely a matter of willpower, Kural. I have been desperately trying to give you space, to let you adjust, and to respect the boundaries you've been setting, even when every single instinct in my body has been screaming at me to do exactly the opposite.”
He reached across the table, not for my hand, but for the curve of my cheek. His fingers were warm, and the touch was electrifying.
“I am a man fully capable, Kural,” he stated, his voice now a husky promise. “And I don't want to just touch you. When I finally cross that line, I want to shatter the distance between us completely. I want you to forget the papers, forget the past, and remember only that you are my wife. I desperately want to touch you, to feel every part of you. Every night, I want to feel us becoming one. I want to hear you scream my name all night. I am entirely, fully, your husband.”
My jaw dropped. How could anyone ever think this man had a "physical inability"? He had just completely turned me on with nothing but his words.
“If you still have any doubts,” he said, his eyes dancing with a teasing glint, “why don't you put me to the test?”
“What? No! Stop! We’re in a cafe!” I hissed, immediately swatting away the hand that was still caressing my cheek.
